Description
Chaaaange approaches.
An end.
In just 7 hours from the time of this post, Microsoft will end support for Windows XP and Office 2003: www.microsoft.com/en-gb/window…
Let's take the time to remember the great moments we shared with this operating system.
It was released on the 25th of August, 2001. Even though some pirates would beg to differ. Almost 13 years it has been now. Technology certainly changed a lot during those years, we went from phones with monochrome displays to smartphones that can play Crysis, TVs have gotten thinner, storage capacity increased exponentially, the internet has penetrated almost every aspect of our lives, not to mention countless breakthroughs in medicine, science and other industries.
As the world around us changed, we also have. For there is nothing constant in this world except for change.
So here we are, all these years later. Remembering what it was like to use Windows XP.
I remember how much fun it was to customize it.
Here are some of my desktop screenshots from the early days:
How did Windows XP affect your life personally?
Did you love it? Did you hate it? Was it meaningful to you in any way?
An end.
