You guys need to have respect for innovation. The xbox has come a long way. It's leaps and bounds better then what it ever was. If you think you can make one better. Work your ass off to make a multi billion dollar corporation and then after you've gone through all the struggles to be successful. You can then have a say of what goes into the development of the design. I for one am both a playstation and xbox fan. I play the xbox way more do to it's richer content and better game play. I'm tired of people saying well the xbox is just copying playstation. That's bullshit. What about all the other companies out there making the same product. Cell phone, tvs, dvd/bluray players etc. The xbox design is sleek sexy and badass.
Could care less about the name or the size (for the most part). It's how powerful it is for a console. Considering it is windows powered and has Hyper-v capability, this surely looks like it will knock the PS4 out of the water.
I don't expect Consoles quality to be on par with PC anytime soon or even ever, but sometimes it's good to sit back and enjoy a game.
I've never been a console gamer, so I don't really have a dog in this fight. But this is the internet, and you asked. - It looks gut wrenchingly terrible. Especially in contrast to the 360, which I thought looked pretty good. - The name is lame. I guess I get what they're aiming at (one device for all your entertainment?) but it seems rather uncreative regardless. - The specs seem (as far as anyone can tell) to put it in line with current high-end PC hardware. Which means that if MS waits another 8 years for a console refresh, it will be terribly outdated again. - 500 GB seems pretty small... - The new Kinect specs sound amazing. I'm really interested to see what sort of applications can be developed using the new Kinect hardware. Fruit Ninja doesn't count - I want me some Minority Report photo editing, or intelligent room environment controls. That sort of thing. Leap Motion on steroids. - HOWEVER I am disappointed that they are requiring the Kinect to always be connected to the console (correct me if I'm wrong), especially in light of potential privacy issues. Although they reneged on the "always online" thing, this device is designed to be connected to a network. Webcam slavery is already a thing - I can't wait for it to start happening with Xbox One. I don't want to have that hyper intelligent camera always. watching. me.
