BEHOLD! Behold. BEHOLD!Behold. The Omnimo 6.0 Update cometh (in Spring)
Thanks to , we've got some awesome new features planned, including, FINALLY. A multi-homescreens manager. I'm pretty excited to get this done. I really wish ~Xyrfo (co-founder, he put in just as much effort into Omnimo as me, if not more) would join this version at least briefly, but it appears I'll have to deal with this alone.
If anyone is willing to help with the new version of Omnimo, let me know! I could use any help I get.
Comments and feedback are welcome!
Also beware of fake virus-laden Omnimo 6 releases. The original and safe one can ONLY be found on omnimo.info and my gallery (fediafedia.deviantart.com) when it's released.
Oh and if you're using Omnimo 5 now, make sure to download today's hotfix that fixes color issues: [link]
Well, a suggestion I may ask. O.o Have you thought to make things like a browser based on the metro UI or a file browser based on it. Those would be really neat. Oha dn any update. =3
First off, this looks really really good. The colors and design elements like the bottom bar (which I assume is for some kind of multitasking), and what looks like a settings toggle (the blue icon in the top right) are both great ideas. That said, don't be afraid to make it better then Metro. Simple is good, but good UI and UX means adding some depth. Also (while not saying you are doing this) don't just make this Win8 on rainmeter: make it Win8 +. Make it better, because you can. Past Omnimo versions have been really good, and I hope you keep up the trend!
Thanks for your comment! We're not really trying to make it Win8 at all Since the very beginning I've been doing something that I would use, so far it's been what people want too. Functionality is of paramount importance to this project, in addition to that, we're improving the overall aesthetics of items in the new version. The hardest thing, however, is improving the usability. Our research indicates that a lot of people don't know how to access most of the features in this project, so we kinda need a fool-proof system (currently experimenting with an "always-on" sidebar that also doubles as a desktop-omnimo toggle: [link] ).
If you happen to have any specific suggestions regarding the UI/UX in this project, I'd be happy to hear them Feel free to add me on Skype or Steam
